Description
For the famous queen of the Iceni (d. c.60AD), please use Boudica (='Victory' or 'Victoria').

'Boadicea' is derived from spelling mistakes in manuscript copies of Tacitus. He gave the name a double-c. Mediaeval copyists turned the '-u' into an a, and the '-cc' into '-ce', creating the meaningless 'Boadicea', which was popularised by William Cowper in his poem 'Boadicea, an ode' (1782).
