People/Characters David Rees

David Rees is the only surviving child of Dolly and William Rees.   His father left him and his mother alone while he worked as an itinerant weaver.   When Dolly died, Wiliam allowed his sister, Caroline, and her husband to run the farm, in return for taking care of David.   David was miserable, and finally ran away to the Zion Shaker Family at the age of 13.   He was estranged from his oblivious father.
