Description

Description
Ebisu is one of The Seven Lucky Gods of Japan. As his cult has developed, he has been given been identified with other deities (Kotoronushi no Mikoto, Hiruko) and given different parents (Okuninushi, Izanagi & Izanami, and Dikokuten)

Originally the patron of fishermen and of animals such as whales and whale sharks which could drive shoals of fish into nearby nets, his cult expanded to make him a general god of luck and wealth.

He has a noticable limp and is hard of hearing, but he remains mirthful.
