People/Characters Failla

Failla is a young woman of Carluse Town, who becomes mistress of Duke Garnot, and object of detestation by his wife, Duchess Tadira. She is pragmatic about the relationship, turning all his presents into cash. She is also spying on him for her uncle, Ernout, priest of Saedrin. Ernout runs an underground organization that aids the citizens of Carluse. Failla had a daughter by the Duke, but knowing his ruthless use of his bastards, managed to conceal her pregnancy and arrange for her cousin Lathi to raise the child as her own. Failla is happy to join the rebellion.
