Description
| Description | Harold Loeb (1891-1974) co-founded and edited the literary magazine Broom before moving to Paris to work on his own writing. There he befriended other American expatriate writers such as Ernest Hemingway. He accompanied Hemingway and his circle on a trip to Pamplona in 1925, and inspired the character of Robert Cohn in Hemingway's novel The Sun Also Rises. Loeb wrote novels, essays, and a memoir, The Way It Was (1959). |
