Description
| Description | In The Stormy Petrel, Neil Hamilton is the nephew and heir of the lately deceased Mrs. Hamilton, owner of the hunting lodge Taigh na Tuir, near Rose's rented cottage. He shows up in the middle of the night just after Rose has confronted Ewen MacKay. He first introduces himself as John Parsons, hoping that MacKay won't realize who is is, although they knew (and disliked) each other as boys. An unknown buyer has made an offer for Taigh na Tuir; Neil is having second thoughts, but it may be too late. He is a geologist who has been living in Sydney, Australia, and will be teaching at Cambridge in the next academic year. |
