People/Characters Skade

Skade is a fierce Danish warrior woman who leads one of the war bands of her consort, Harald Bloodhair. She is taken prisoner by the Saxons in The Burning Land and convinces Uhtred of Bebbanburg to undertake a raid on Frisia for loot and plunder. The two become lovers until Uhtred refuses to give her half of the treasure, when they become enemies.
