Description
| Description | Tom Travers is married to Bertie's Aunt Dahlia (née Wooster). He collects silver objects and bores his listeners with manifold details about them. He is likely to flee the country when his wife invites guest to their home, Brinkley Court, Market Snodsbury. Their French chef, Anatole, keeps would-be guests literally hungering for an invitation. Their black cat, Augustus, “is a broken reed to lean on in the matter of catching mice […] except when eating, he does nothing but sleep. Lethargic is the word that springs to the lips. [..] where other cats are content to get their eight hours, Augustus wants his twenty-four.” (How right you are Jeeves / Jeeves in the Offing , Chap. 7) |
