missizicks: My favourite book narrated by a dog. Mr Bones tells us about his life with his master, Willy G Christmas, in flashback and the present as the pair try to reach Baltimore before Willy dies.

missizicks: The book that started my love for books narrated by dogs. It's a classic for a reason and, as a child, I re-read it multiple times, each time feeling the tension like my heart was in my mouth.

missizicks: Not as strong a story as The 101 Dalmatians, but still a good read.

missizicks: I read this as a child, after Watership Down. I remember it being exciting but also scary. It wasn't as traumatising as Watership Down, though.

missizicks: A supernatural tale from James Herbert about a man reincarnated as a dog, trying to get back to his family. I had a patch in my late teens of reading James Herbert, and Fluke was the least horrifying.

missizicks: I read this in school and don't remember much about it. I might re-read it one day.

missizicks: Another book I read as a child. There's a cat involved, as well as two dogs, and there are some tense moments. I remember wanting it to be more exciting, but I ended up feeling a bit bored.

missizicks: I've always meant to read this 1912 classic. I know the bones of the story (sorry/not sorry) from visiting Edinburgh but I'd like to read the book, mostly to compare it with Timbuktu.
