4/11/20 - My "Victory Garden" project, which I started on the spur-of-the-moment. The square planters had been lying fallow for 2-3 years, so I took out the weeds, added more soil and started planting. The first two beds are planted with carrots, beets, and Swiss chard. The back two are probably going to be planted with summer squash. The fifth bed on the left is what most of them looked like before I began cleaning up. I also had to watch for fire ants, who were in evidence in each of the boxes, whew. The white fence sections are "tented" over the planted beds to discourage my ferals from using the planted containers as personal toilets.
