- Contemporary hard ("hard-hard") SF is my core interest - Korogodski, Rajaniemi, Egan, Stross...) but I also have some golden age stuff, some silver age stuff (Sturgeon, Dick, LeGuin especially) most of the "Scottish gang" SF (Iain Banks, Ken McCleod etc) plus a scattershot of other SF I like. Outside the SF field, I enjoy YA fiction, magical realism, philosophy (Daniel Dennet, Karl Popper), economics (Keynes, Hutton, Kay) and graphic novels. I read a bit of Italian too - Calvino for example.
