About My Library
Our library was relocated from a tiny hidden room in 2015, to its current prominent location in our historic building. In that time we have greatly expanded our modern fiction, DVD, and children's sections, as well as our member usage of the library, having become a resource both for our students and for local francophones who teach in the New Orleans area Immersion schools and schools with strong French programs.
About Me
The Alliance Française de la Nouvelle-Orléans is part of a dynamic non-profit network of independent chapters passionate about promoting the French language and celebrating francophone cultures.
The 100+ chapters in the United States are part of an international organization of more than 800 affiliates located on every continent. The Alliance Française is the place to learn and immerse yourself in all things French. Our New Orleans chapter was founded in 1984, and we have proudly grown over recent years.
We are one of the partners of the annual Bastille Day Fête, and are proud of our special place of 'frenchness' in US history. We offer classes for all levels, all year long, as well as monthly movies, book clubs, and other events, all year long.
Venez célébrer le français avec nous!
