Elizabeth Cook hails from Alabama, but currently works on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Moving from a semi-bustling city in Alabama (population around 40,000) to a slightly less bustling city in South Dakota (population less than 500) has its challenges, but also its joys.

Before moving, Elizabeth taught English to international students at her local university for ten years. Being exposed to many different cultures and traditions has given her a broad perspective on life and helped her see the world from many different angles. This has helped fuel her imagination and shows through in her writing. The Search for the Lost Laboratory is her first novel, and the second book in the series will follow soon.
