About Me

Angel Bomb is the nom de plume of me, Todd Thyberg. I've been a graphic designer and package designer for over 30 years with the last 25 of them running Angel Bomb. in 2016, after learning letterpress, I added the first Chandler and Price letterpress to my studio and have been printing for clients ever since.

In 2011 I received an MCBA/Jerome Foundation Book Arts Fellowship to assist with the creation of my first book, The Airship. Since then I've received an MN State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant and have gone on to produce seven artist books so far including American Manifesto, Mister F., The Miskatonic Papers, 2020: A Fiasco, and a limited edition of Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell. I create my own original work as well as work with the writings of others. I am currently working on the manuscript of Peter Watts' The Things to illustrate and create a special edition.

As a package designer, I've been fascinated with how people interact with products and my books. I often incorporate ergodic aspects in my work to further enhance the reader's experience. I believe deeper interaction with objects builds more profound memories and I seek to tie those to stories I write and interpret.
