Like her character, Portia Gaughran, Ari Jenelle was an Army brat. By the age of ten, she had lived in over four different states and one foreign country, where she met a band of crazy, yet lovable misfits not unlike the Escape Trilogy gang. In her lifetime, she has lived in a haunted ex-concentration camp, practiced witchcraft, and tried—unsuccessfully—to sneak her way onto a Hollywood movie studio.She has written several works, including YA novels such as The Escape Trilogy, The Watcher Series, two stand-alone novels: Indian Summer and Keeper of the Box (a modern day Pandora's Box retelling), and the adult erotic novel, Lamia. She is also an avid fanfiction writer who has written for fandoms such as Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, The Mediator Series, and Glee.In addition to writing, he is also a classically trained vocalist who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music under a different name. Currently, she resides in a small southern town in Oklahoma where she works as a Pre-K teacher's assistant, saving up for a move to Los Angeles and enjoys belting Broadway standards whenever she gets the house to herself.
