Raven was raised in Spencerville, Indiana. She always marched to the beat of a different drummer, as her mother would say. She was an awkward child with an overactive imagination. Raven hated school, it bored her.
It was during middle school that she picked up a pen and grabbed a notebook. She began to transcribe all her emotions into stories. That pen and notebook became her new friends. Through writing, she could escape and find her inner strength. She was harassed and mistreated until she graduated from high school.
