My personal library is an eclectic assortment that ranges from the most tawdry of historical romances to the highly esoteric and philosophic. I have poetry anthologies, fairytale omnibuses, essay and short story collections, biographies, English Lit and so much Historical Fiction it's crazy. I love the entire experience of picking up a book - the slight, musty smell of the pages and ink, the rough bound cover and smooth and creamy pages, the words that have the ability to transport you to anywhere they describe and the story and characters that come alive as you wend through their worlds - sigh, it's utter magic.

I'm a creative, artsy, fanciful spirit as well as a devourer of books (of any written word actually!). Having grown up in a house filled with books, I developed a never ending thirst for knowledge at an early age. To that end, I have recently completed my Bachelors major in History and I'm currently pursuing my Master's Museum Studies. I'm also getting my Interior Design certification as well as reading just about anything I can get my hands on. That said, it should come as no real surprise that one of my absolute favorite genres is historical fiction because I feel that it can give a more personal feel and perspective to history. I also find design books and art books to be an incredible visual stimulus and inspirational start point for my designs.
I'll end by adding that I'm also both a geek extraordinare (i.e. my love of Star Trek, Star Wars, Action Figures, etc, will testify to) and a real girly-girl (i.e. my love of fairy-tales, sparkles, cute cuddly animals, the color pink, etc) who loves to converse about anything and everything and who believes in laughing everyday and finding delight in simple pleasures. :)
