- Barbara Lohr writes contemporary romance and new adult romance with feisty heroines who meet their match. Subtly sexy love scenes and heartwarming family backdrops are her trademarks. In her early career, she taught writing and literature, as well as writing theater and book reviews. While her career broadened to advertising and marketing, her love of literature and writing remained. Her current series is Windy City Romance, which has a Great Lakes setting but takes the characters as far afield as Italy and Guatemala.
