Each week I put together the Sunday books page for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Finished "The Disappearing Spoon" and read lots of the Mark Twain autobiography. Read some of "Cannery Row" to a friend who spends lots of time in tide pools, just like Doc Ricketts, and he loved it. Also rereading "The Golden Bough" and skipping around "Where Shall Wisdom Be Found?" by Harold Bloom.
