I have tons of unfinished stories, collecting dust in a plastic container in my craft room. It’s crazy, I know, but for a while, fear of rejection had been the bane of my writing existence. In the container are the writings of mystery, contemporary fiction, chick lit, and even some poetry. So why did I choose to write young adult fiction? In my opinion, the genre is intense, but it is candor at the same time. The story lines are complicated, but they are compelling. It’s what draws me to the genre.
