About My Library
I can't believe I've actually read everything here. And this is not everything. Twenty years ago, I sold off several thousand books before moving to my current home. Such a pity this did not exist at the time. I could have provided a remarkable bibliography on James Joyce and modernist literature.

It just occurred to me that this is my *third* library. The first was destroyed when my family improperly stored it. The second was lost in a house fire. This third collection is made up of the few survivors from the earlier years and what has been collected since.

Forty-plus years accumulation covering a wide variety of interests: Classics, Cookbooks, Egyptology, History, Humanities, Law, Mathematics, Religion, Shakespeare, Theatre, etc. ...

Of late, I've been having intimations of immortality. I strongly suspect that this could easily turn into a Legacy Library.
About Me
Retired federal librarian from the Library of Congress--not at all what I'd planned on, but it was a satisfactory living and a good enough pension. Also worked in classical theatre and, at one time, for the Folger Shakespeare Library
