On reviewing my books (to be honest, it seems a bit grand to be calling a load of books stuck in the spare bedroom a 'library') it seems that while they're all over the place thematically, they share a quality that I shall call 'not new and shiny enough'. The next obvious step is to find books that are more new and shiny and bring them home.

Such as they are, these old, dull books, they're under constant threat from my boyfriend, who doesn't understand the joys of hoarding.

There's a certain Shelf of Books,
Sunday Afternoons-
That oppresses, like the Heft
Of a stunned Baboon

etc etc etc.

I live in a small house in London, and I don't read books at the rate I acquire them. This is becoming a problem.
