I love books with good, relatable characters. Characters of faith, but not an easy, pat faith, are beloved to me--as in my favorite books, The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell and Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. Christian fiction is not my cup of tea. I prefer an optimistic outlook, even if the ending is sad. I also love nonfiction that helps me learn something about a topic I would never have thought could be interesting or engaging.

After getting a Kindle for Christmas, I have fallen back in love with reading. I can't get enough new books to add to my "I want to read that!" list. In my real life, I'm a Marketing and Communications professional for academic libraries.
