- About My Library
Welcome to "The Billie Jackson Library For The Culture". Mrs. Billie Jackson was an alumna of Chico State, earning a BA in English with a minor in Music, a MA degree in Education and a secondary Teaching Creditential. In her time here, she was a part of so many groups and organizations including, The theater community, She was a founding member of the Essence women's group at Chico State, a founding member of the Boys & Girls Club Chico chapter, which continues to serve the many children of our city today, a founding member of the Chico State African American Alumni chapter and a dedicated member of the Bethal AME Church. Billie's commitment to students learning was her passion. It is for this reason that we dedicate this cultural library in her name.
- About Me
The CCLC curated a library of inclusive books for CCLC students. We are still accepting donations of gently used or new books. We have created a Bookshop Wish List with titles we would like to add. Donations can be dropped at the Chico State, Cross-Cultural Leadership Center in MLIB 172. Or you can email cclc@csuchico.edu for our address. We thank you for your support in continuing Billie Jackson's legacy on Chico State's campus!
