- I am into18th and 19th century authors, Chaucer,Shakespeare and their contempories. I also enjoy history and good historical novels. Michael Jecks is my favourite historical novelist, with Patrick O'Brien as a near second. My favourite historian, at present, is Ian Mortimer.
