- When I find an author or subject that I really like I read whatever I can find. My current run is A. Lee Martinez. I sadly did judge a book by it's cover (Monster was eye catching!) and should be done quickly. My politics run to the left so no Glenn Beck for me. I like books that have something unexpected. Snuff had so many lines that I stopped and thought about 'hidden' in a book about an aging porn star. I love that. Serena had one of the most lasting characters in my mind. I thought about that book long after I finished. I read To Kill a Mockingbird every year. Some books will not make it on this site and if I don't like a book I see no reason to add it.

- Reading is part of my daily routine and without it I feel off balance. I will try almost anything but I do have my trusted sources. I am a political junkie and have made the goal to read about all 44 presidents in 2010. I have been a chemical dependency counselor for the past ten years and believe strongly in social services. My job can be very chaotic and the ability to unwind in a book keeps me sane. My favorite event is the Printers Row Bookfair held in Chicago and I have gone every year I have lived in Illinois . I look forward to exploring this site for more finds.
