About My Library: These twenty-eight titles have been nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize 2012. Each of the 5 categories has 6 titles on the short list. Two titles were nominated in two categories this year.
The winners will be announced at the Frankfurt International Book Fair on Friday evening, 12 October 2012.
The prize is being awarded for the 57th year. While it is sponsored financially by the German Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the independent nine-member jury of critics and the youth jury composed of six book clubs are coordinated through the Arbeitskreis für Jugendliteratur (AKJ), which is the German branch of the International Board on Books for Young People.
