- About Me
- Dundurn Press was founded in 1972 by Kirk Howard, who named the company after Hamilton’s historic Dundurn Castle, located near where he’d grown up. At first a small publisher of Canadian non-fiction with only five employees, the company expanded over time, acquiring Hounslow Press, Simon & Pierre, Boardwalk Books, Natural Heritage Books, XYZ Publishing, Napoleon and Company, Blue Butterfly Books, and Thomas Allen Publishers.
With more than 2,500 books in print and 1,800 ebooks available, Dundurn continues to release more than one hundred books per year. Its publishing program includes award-winning adult and YA fiction, mysteries, biographies, as well as business, history, and current affairs titles. - Location
