EVANESCENCE- UNEDITED... ~This is just another random section of my book~Esmeralda and Jaime sat on the back of the porch starring off into the grasses and trees surrounding them. The wind blew soothingly. Jaime closed her eyes, enjoying the peace while she could. But the peace didn’t last as long as she thought it would. Moments later, they both felt an approaching demon. A strong demon, too strong to be here. By the time Jaime opened her eyes Esmeralda stood directly across a water demon. A boy wearing blue armor and his hair tied up in a small ponytail. He resembled the water warriors from the book but with three scares running across his face. “What do you want, kid? Elise sent you, am I right?” Esmeralda growled unsatisfied. “Kid?” He said surprised. The warrior disappeared, but his energy still lingered close by. Esmeralda stood in the middle of the yard, trying to stay alert. The young warrior still managed to catch her off guard. Suddenly a dagger flew from above the house and effortlessly planted itself into Esmeralda’s back. She grunted, but she was used to much worse pain. Jaime got up and ran out into the yard to help, but Esmeralda pulled out the dagger herself and pointed it at Jaime. Jaime stopped in her tracks. “Stay out of this!” Esmeralda yelled. Jaime obediently backed up to the porch without a word. Esmeralda turned directly to the rooftop, were the knife had come from. The figure that sat on the roof swiftly jumped off onto a tree. The leaves shook as Esmeralda searched the area helplessly. The warrior popped out behind her, sword raised above his head, about to strike Esmeralda. She spun around and pulled out the sword at her hip and blocked him. The two swords collided, leaving them staring at each other, face to face. “What do you want with me?” Esmeralda chocked. The warriors eyes narrowed and he jumped away from her. He swung at her a few more times, but she blocked all the attempts. Esmeralda got tired of blocking him and whipped her sword at his, causing both swords to go flying yards away. The warrior scowled at her. Esmeralda stepped back and grabbed her right wrist with her left hand and held out her right palm. Dark flames erupted from her palm, burning up the yard. The warrior mirrored her movements and put himself in a similar pose. Water burst up from the earth, putting out the flames and soaking Esmeralda making her slightly weaker. He laughed at her, he almost sounded cheerful, amused. Esmeralda wiped herself off as much as possible before another fierce line on water came after her. She jumped out of the way and sent smaller fire blasts at him. He intercepted each with more water. Esmeralda stood in place, waiting for her energy to restore. Could this warrior be stronger than me? No, impossible, Esmeralda reassured herself. But he was strong. Alright, I’m done with this; I am just going to kill this bastard right now. She thought. Esmeralda ran at him while he was still finishing blocking all the fire. In her palm she held a single black flame, charging, preparing to enter the warrior’s body, and explode. He looked up and his expression changed, as if he just woken up. The young warrior held out both palms and suddenly powerful bursts filled the yard of… electricity? Esmeralda went flying back from the sudden explosion as the warrior fell on his back and his ponytail ripped off, his long hair covered his scared face. Esmeralda gradually stood up obviously hurt when a strangely attractive and familiar voice echoed through her head. I’m working on mixing my fire and water together to make electricity. Aaron... the name nearly brought tears to her eyes. She began to blush uncontrollably at her past fiancé. How could she not recognize him? “Aaron!” Esmeralda shouted. Jaime, who had been watching the whole fight gasped. Why was Aaron attacking Esmeralda, I thought they were in love? Jaime wondered. Aaron stood and whipped his hair out of his face, a hurt and angry expression on his face. “It took you that long… to remember me?”
