About My Library
Seth T. Gano Library (From a history of First Church by James Landfried):
Seth T. Gano was born in Westville, New York in 1879 and he married Adelaide Beunke in 1907. Their three daughters led the Sunday School in perfect attendance. Seth served as Chair of the Parish Committee 1927 to 1928, church treasurer and President of the Men’s Club. He was Belmont Town Moderator from 1944 to 1951 and was Chair of the Library Trustees for 23 years. After his death in 1955, First Church named the new church library in his honor. Seth was a founder of the Unitarian Service Committee and served as vice-president from 1940 to 1950. He helped establish the Byzantine Library in Paris and was a Harvard Alumni leader.

About Me
The library committee was convened in 2012 by Mary Louise Landfried, with Jill Coelho, Marian Melnick and Anne Stuart. Books were weeded and the process of classification and entering into this database was begun. Jill and Marian are continuing the work in 2013.
