F.J. grew up in Western New York. He now finds himself crossing oceans and traversing continents. As a crisis counselor, he spends most of his time en route to remote destinations in developing parts of the world. He still gets back to WNY as often as he can and has a soft spot for the changing color of the leaves in autumn and the three feet of snow in the winter. Mustard Seed Baby Doll is F. J. Schurr's debut novella, although he has been writing since he was a young boy.
