I love reading picture books for children because I'm beginning to write and publish my own books.

My favorite genres are historical fiction, mysteries, legal and medical thrillers, and time travel.

Farial lives in a small rural community with her husband and two dogs. Several years ago, they moved from their home in a Chicago suburb to an old farm in upstate New York. Surrounded by woods and fallow fields, their dogs run free and Farial spends most of her time outdoors, planting and tending flowers, growing vegetables, and caring for colonies of honeybees.

An avid reader throughout her life, Farial shared hundreds of books with her three sons as they grew up. Now she has embarked on a brand new journey - writing for children.

Farial is the bestselling author of Charlie and Sophie’s Great Escape, an award-winning book about the adventures of her Border Collie puppies. Her second picture book, The Boy Who Wanted to Fly, will be released in the fall of 2025.
