About My Library
I built three sets of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in my current house—one in the office, one in the living room, and one in the basement. My library mainly consists of natural and social sciences, western and eastern philosophy, religious studies, and sci-fi/fantasy. I'm moderately obsessive about the treatment and care of my books. I cover the paperbacks and clear laminate and Brodart my hardcovers. I never open a book over 90°, and I ask anyone who borrows my books to do the same.
About Me
I like to spend my time studying philosophy, social sciences, physical sciences, religion, and history. I got my BA in Philosophy in 1998 and completed my masters thesis in Sociology in 2016, specializing in what "spirituality" would mean for non-theists. I've studied philosophy and religion for over 25 years, but I'm not a member of any religion. I'm a naturalist and humanist with an affinity for Buddhist, Daoist, and Stoic philosophy. I study religion from philosophical, sociological, historical and literary perspectives.

I sing in a Barbershop chorus called the Kentucky Vocal Union. I work as a computer programmer, building web-based applications for an ad agency.
