I'm trying not to accumulate books. We have a great public library system in Indianapolis, so I'll typically have a hundred books checked out at once. So I've kept my ownership down to just several hundred or so. I'm slowly collecting Anthony Burgess, but have ended up with the usual Stephen King-and-bestseller assortment I could walk away from and abandon to distruction if disaster struck (I'd grab my word processor and manuscript file).

I've worked in libraries most of the past 20 years. When the day is done, or on weekends, I'm likely to be in yet another one since a library is my favorite place to write.
