Well, I'm obviously a big fan of King (I've even had a story in an anthology with him!). Other people I enjoy a lot are Harlan Ellison, John Irving, John Steinbeck, Dan Simmons, Joyce Carol Oates, William Shakespeare, the Romantic era writers, Bentley Little, Jack Ketchum, and so many others. I recently read The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and loved it. My To Be Read list is HUGE and I'm one of the few people I know who actually keeps his books on a database. Well, a few databases. One is a general inventory, the others are done by year and are what I've read.

I've been writing since I was thirteen, after reading Stephen King's The Shining. I worked at a Big & Nasty chain bookstore from the ages of 16-22 (Aug 1993-Oct 1999) and then at a local indy store from 26-29 (Oct 2003-Aug 2006).
