Gene Thomas Colwell is Professor Emeritus at The Georgia Institute of Technology and earlier was at The Oak Ridge National Laboratory and The University of Tennessee. His book "Beyond The Veil" describes his fifty year long search to find meaning and perspective in an ever evolving personal universe. The work makes use of his scientific experience but is primarily based on his long term interest in other fields that are not easily treated by the scientific method. He has come to believe, as reported in his book, that philosophy, science and theology are each important and need not be at odds with one another to those seeking peace as they approach death.
