Godbert Godbertson (also seen written as Cuthbert Cuthbertson) (~1592-1633) is believed to have been born in Poland, but was in Leiden by 1615, when he attended services with the English Separatists there. Married there first Elizabeth Kendall, and second Sarah (Allerton) (Vincent) Priest, sister of Mayflower passenger Isaac Allerton and widow of Degory Priest. Came to Plymouth in 1623 with his wife and two stepdaughters. Both Godbert and Sarah died during a smallpox outbreak in 1633; their estate inventory is the first joint husband/wife inventory in the Plymouth records.
