I'm the author of two novels, The Salt God's Daughter and The Language of Trees.

Ilie Ruby won the Phi Kappa Phi Award for Fiction, the Edwin L. Moses Award, a Kerr Foundation Fiction Scholarship, the Davidoff Scholarship in NonFiction, and the Barbara Kemp Award for Outstanding Teaching and Scholarship. She is the former fiction editor of The Southern California Anthology.
