My library includes many of my favorite books as well as many favorites of family members. Coming from a long line of avid readers and book lovers, I have a few books from parents, grandparents, and several greats back – from several parts of the family; well worn books from individuals with many interests. I do own many of the books I have entered on LT, but I also enthusiastically support the local libraries. Therefore, I include on LT a good number of books “Read, but unowned.” Our regional library network, with opportunities to borrow books from a wide range of area libraries, is an exceptional resource for those of us who have no more shelf space, who reluctantly part with books, and / or who have family members who object to having SO many books on our shelves. We have outstanding Friends of the Library book sales at a wonderful nearby library. Therefore, I am trying to increase the number of books in my LT “Given away” category by donating books instead of buying. Unfortunately, this seems to be a losing battle.

5 Stars – Outstanding. “Timeless, a real treasure”
4.5 Stars – Excellent. Well written, worth reading. I loved for whatever reason.
4 Stars – Great book. I would recommend.
3.5 Stars – Very Good
3 Stars – Good. Glad I read. May have some reservations.
2.5 Stars – Fair. Probably wouldn’t recommend.
2 Stars – Disappointing. Not a book for me.
1.5 Stars – Did not like
1 Star – Not worth my time
