- I'm harsh with ratings. I only give things a 5 under rare circumstances, when I absolutely adore a book. In general, ratings are as follows:
5 = I loved this book.
4 = I liked this book a lot.
3 = I liked this book.
2 = This book was okay.
In general, anything I rate a 1 I then wind up getting rid of, so those books won't be listed here.
