- About My Library
My public school library is in a rural town in NC reaching PreK-5th grade students. It has an active reading community that participates in reading challenges and competitions. The library is beautiful and bright with a Makerspace. Upper grade students can participate in our 3D Print Club and in the North Carolina School Library Media Association's Battle of the Books program.
- About Me
I am a public elementary school librarian in NC with 28 years of experience in public education. I have taught in urban, suburban, and rural districts. I enjoy reading children's literature as well as YA fantasy, adult non-fiction, contemporary fiction, and cookbooks. I am the grown-up book club coordinator for the North Carolina School Library Media Association, where we meet monthly with school librarians across the state to discuss books we have read.
