I mostly read/collect Science Fiction (and related genres...), i.e. Genre SF, Slipstream SF, Proto-SF, Science Fantasy, Fantasy, Speculative Fiction, Weird Fiction, , Horror, etc.
Re-started reading in late 2024, after a multiple-year-long hiatus... Joined LibraryThing late December, 2024. The majority [99%] of my books have been purchased from December 31st, 2024, onwards... Yes! I have bought A LOT of books over a short period of time... Most are bought as "New".
I really started reading (after using most of the time listing/planning to buy/buying/...) in late 2025, but as I am a relatively slow reader and do not read every day, progress is not that fast... I should that I ONLY read physical books (no e-books for me pls).
My goal is c. 25 books per year (if I just achieve that ONE year, I will be thrilled!!).
I have only added old reads to my list that I can actually remember reading (meaning, some reads are missing, as I do not have a "sticky" brain).

I collect perfumes and I am a somewhat nerdy geologist. Ohh, and I loooove creating lists - Yep, LT is a fantastic thing!
I primarily read books in English, even though it is not my mother tongue. I started reading in English years ago to improve my language skills, as I use English frequently in my professional life. Now, it just feels wrong to read in anything but English.
