Downstairs, the basement is lined with shelves for paperbacks. In addition there are about 23 boxes of books that don't fit on the shelves. Complete Christie's, Doc Savage, Shadow, Bond, Helm, Van Vogt, and more. Upstairs are finer shelves for my history collection, Great Books of the Western World and a growing collection of Detective Book Club 3-in-1's. Plus a Nook with thousands of books in literary collections.

One note on the covers. The covers don't represent the editions I have. The cover I pick is just my favorite of the options. So for classic works, I'll probably lean towards Classics Illustrated or Airmont Classics covers

60 yr old, joliet IL. I've been reading as far back as I can remember. Until about 10 years ago, I carried a book wherever I went-a tradition now taken up by my 8 year old granddaughter. I read almost anything-mystery, sf, horror, western, history, even math texts. Plus, as I grow older, I find myself re-discovering authors that I passed over or didn't fully appreciate in my younger days, while still not losing my taste for more juvenile fare.
