About My Library

Liverpool Genealogy Society, in Sydney Australia, was established in 1987. Our resource room has a vast collection of books on family history as well as local and Australian history. We are not a lending library, however, members can borrow books on a short term basis. Visitors are welcome to browse our collection. Many of our volunteers have diplomas in family history from UTAS and are available Tuesday to Friday and on first and third Saturdays to assist with research. Our rooms are located inside the Liverpool Regional Museum on the corner of the Hume Highway and Congressional Drive, Liverpool. Liverpool was established by Governor Macquarie in 1810 and is the fourth oldest town in Australia.
