Real Name: Middle English Dictionary (Paul Schaffner, ed.)
About My Library: This collection represents a bulk upload (plus a few hundred manual additions) from the SGML version of a list of my personal book hoard--which also serves as the working library for both the Middle English Dictionary and the early modern transcription project known as the Early English Books Online Text Creation Partnership (EEBO-TCP). It is therefore heavy in Middle and early Modern English, related works in sibling languages, dictionaries, and grammars, but is far from being confined to those, with strengths in Middle Welsh, hymn books, hardware catalogues, mysteries, and more than a few other areas. Placed online originally early in the COVID era in order to facilitate book-sharing with work-from-home colleagues at OED.
