One of my collections consists primarily of Books about Books, bookmaking and typography, particularly the lives of type designers. I also have a collection of about 3,000 works of fiction and non-fiction following my personal interests. My oldest book is an Addison and Steele from 1752, and my most cherished is my 2nd printing of Ulysses. I also have an extensive collection of the work of the late Douglas Adams, including an extremely rare signed edition of Last Chance to See by both authors, Adams and Mark Carwardine.

I am retired and living in a suburb of Rochester, NY. I have a background in editing, proofreading, non-profit organizations and a stint as a library staff member (my favorite job). I am married to a writer and engineer, and have two adult children and two grandchildren. My husband and I have Sockwood Press, a small publishing company, and also do public readings of the U.S. Constitution in the hope that Americans might actually get around to reading their founding document.
