I don't know how many books I have but it must be several thousand. I buy books if the subject interests me or it's really old, but my powers of discrimination decrease as the price goes down. My oldest book is dated 1743.
I am trying to use a tag LOC[rm][bookcase][shelf nbr] so I can maybe figure out what shelf the book is on; ex LOClia3 = Lib bookcase A shelf 3. There are 52 bookcases/bays with more than 200 shelves scattered over 9 rooms/halls. Update: 6-12-19. I now have 1021 books entered in LibThing and my location tags have already proven useful. I can access my library on my phone, very useful when shopping.
11-2-19: 1466 books entered. It would be useful when entering a book to know what the most used tags are for that book, without having to go to another screen.
7-21-20: 2000 books entered. Long way to go.
2-6-2021: 2200 books entered. Learned how to modify a style sheet and print out parts of my library.

4-18-22: 2704 books entered.

2-13-24: 3033 books entered. I have built a library - A 30' x 60' building - to house my books and my art. This should keep me busy for a while, although I think I am just delaying the inevitable - out of space again.
