- About My Library
- Listing in progress. The centerpiece of my library is Britannica's Great Books of the Western World. I am currently collecting the World's Best Reading series by Reader's Digest (not the condensed McBooks), and I have a modest collection of works on the interests listed above.
- About Me
- My chief interests are in metaphysics, religion, magic, and mythology. I also love mediaeval and classical epic & saga, classic adventure stories, and turn-of-the-century English children's literature. My favorite fiction author is J.R.R. Tolkien and my favorite nonfiction author is C.S. Lewis. I agree with Mortimer Adler that "Most of the 450,000 to 500,000 books published in the West each year are not worth reading carefully more than once, if they are worth even that. In any year, there are not likely to be more than a few hundred intended for the general public that are worth reading carefully once; and, among them, few are worth reading carefully twice."
