Library is in several languages and located mainly in storage for now. Interests: travel, tailoring, dolls, beadwork, poetry, quality fiction, foreign magazines, ancient magazines. Hundreds of audio books on Audible.com.

Native Californian. Made Captain, USAF, stationed in MS, Germany Spain. Thirty years in San Francisco, mostly legal transcription word processing, tho I did some leafletting and sold beadwork in the Haight-Ashbury, also dressmaking and alterations. Studied Mandarin in night school "just for the halibut." Met a Vietnam veteran in the back of a Greyhound. Married. . . .I "felt the world growing cold" and moved to Mount Shasta. Then to South Lake Tahoe where I volunteered with Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care so fed bears legally. Have yet to find a great place to properly settle down, but I expect to move back to Bay Area (El Cerrito) within the year. Knitting or working a jigsaw to a good audio book is my sweet spot. A recent diagnosis of macular RE-generation(!) plus the cost of moving suggests I donate most of my books. I am finishing all my fiddly knitting projects. I can still do fiber crafts and beadwork, but only for myself at my speed. For joy I re-listen to Davina Porter reading Gabaldon or Humphrey Bower reading "Shantaram" or the Bryce Courtenay books. I feel angry to think AI is writing books or someone is pushing a stupid book at me! The books named here will keep me going for a long time. Books are how I enjoy the "Golden Years" without Prozac! "We Had Love," my book about the San Francisco years, probably will not get written. We'll see.
