I have a large collection of books and have stripped it to the bare bones a number of times to move house, make cash etc and the same books seem to stay with me or boomerang their way back into my mini library. I won't part with my Complete Works of Lewis Carroll or my copy of Johnny Got His Gun (if there's ever a reminder that life could be worse that book is it). I read a wide variety of books. The ones that I pick up and cannot put down are generally by Joanne Harris, Lisa Gardner or Torey Hayden. I love Nick Hornby because he makes me understand slightly how men think. I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I'm a James Patterson fan. One of my all time favourites is Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

I'm a Librarian but in a small local government law library. I have 7 year old twins. Besides reading I enjoy cross stitch, music (I'm a closet rock chick), wine and chocolate.
